Bass and Sub-bass: I enjoy strong, well-positioned bass that fills empty space without feeling too fast—slow sub-bass with textured, punchy mid-bass is perfect. I also like a smooth transition from bass to mids with a warm tonality (a slight bass bleed into the mids doesn’t bother me). I don’t enjoy a thin sound overall.
Mids: I prefer natural, engaging mids with full-bodied vocals that are slightly forward in the mix. Since my playlists mostly feature female vocals, a rich, lifelike vocal presence is important to me.
Treble: I like treble with a natural timbre and appreciate detail, but not to the point of it feeling overly bright, artificial, or harsh. Sharp treble peaks can be fatiguing for me, so I avoid those.
Soundstage, Imaging, and Instrument Separation: I prefer a more intimate sound with good spatial accuracy. I like to feel the recording space, whether it’s big or small.
